Local Insights did not start out as a data provider. In fact, Local Insights was a mortgage lender based in San Francisco. Their founder, Mike, made exactly one loan before realizing that the place to have a the biggest impact was in the recorded data of a loan and other events. Everyday, millions of people buy homes, get loans, fail to pay some of those loans, perform a home remodel, or, even simply install a new window. Regardless of the activity, people are required by the local government to file paperwork to do what they want to do. Live their life.
