Liridi is an online platform where micro-sized enterprises could access micro-loans in e-money format available on a smartphone or a tablet. Liridi targets underbanked segments in economies of emerging markets of Asia and Africa starting from Sri Lanka. At the moment, 32% of the adult population in Sri Lanka do not have a bank account and 83% never borrowed from a financial institution. We see the potential for growth in South Asia, East Asia & Sub-Sahara Africa where over 700 mln of the population are underbanked in 25 key markets for Liridi.
