Lightning Poker was founded in 2004 by Brian Haveson, the former CEO of Nutrisystem and a professional poker player who has $1,000,000 in tournament cashes. Lightning Poker was created with the entrepreneurial vision to capitalize on the speed of internet poker play combined with face-to-face interaction of a live table game, resulting in increased profitability for casino poker rooms. In November, 2006 the first three (3) Lightning Poker tables went live at Turning Stone Casino in Verona, New York, with subsequent successful installs throughout the US, Canada, Australia, Central America, Europe, the Middle East and the Caribbean.
