Nanjing Port Longtan Container Co., Ltd. is jointly established by Nanjing Port (Group) Co., Ltd., Shanghai International Port (Group) Co., Ltd., COSCO Terminal (Nanjing) Co., Ltd., Nanjing Port Co., Ltd. and Sinotrans (Hong Kong) Logistics Co., Ltd. It was officially put into operation in September 2005. The company is located in Longtan Waterway, Nanjing section of the Yangtze River. The waterfront of the terminal is 12.5 meters long, with a maximum water depth of 14.5 meters, about 300 kilometers from Wusongkou and 30 kilometers from Nanjing. The first phase of the company's terminal is 910 meters long and 1000 meters deep. The project has 3 berths of 25,000 tons and 2 berths of 1000 tons (designed for 50,000-ton container ships with berths). 500,000 M2, 18,000 M2 demolition and storage warehouse, 11,400 M2 refrigerated storage yard, and 22,900 M2 dangerous goods storage yard.
