Laudamotion is the latest development in the history of the airline NIKI. After airberlin filed for insolvency in 2017, Niki Lauda purchased the airline, which was extremely successful as the “number one holiday airline", from the assets of airberlin. Ever since it was first founded in November 2003, NIKI has been continuously expanding both its fleet of Airbus aircraft and the number of destinations to which it flies.
