About company
Founded by Lars Windhorst, the Foundation supports education, enterprise, and arts causes. The Foundation established the multi-year Sapinda Rainbow Project, which provided disadvantaged young South Africans with the opportunity to participate in the Clipper Round The World Race to build teamwork, communication, and leadership skills. The Foundation is a longstanding benefactor of the Serpentine Galleries. It continues to support the ongoing exhibitions at the Serpentine Gallery in London. In 2015, the Lars Windhorst Foundation purchased part of the Christo and Jeanne-Claude collection, and loaned the works to the German Bundestag for the 'Reichstag Unwrapped' photographic exhibition, twenty years after he first created Christo's iconic building wrapper.
