Kudo Insurance is an app that uses mobile phone telematics to monitor a user’s driving and create an individual score that can then be shared with a car insurer to obtain a discount. Driving information captured by the app could also be used as evidence in the event of a motor accident. The company set out in 2017 to provide a central portal for drivers to prove how good they are and get better quotes from insurers who could pick the best ones, whilst giving consumers transparency and the tools to get better value.
