Our objective is to provide a full boarding scholarship for five children per year at each of the 19 state and privately funded schools in the Kamwenge district, Uganda. This would mean 95 new places per year. We work with existing secondary schools to offer scholarships to bright students whose parents cannot afford fees. Children are selected on the basis of the following criteria: family situation, economic background, gender, and academic performance.
