Jowba.com is essentially a startup-specific job board; at the heart of each posting is a detailed company profile, and these startup details are automatically integrated every job posting. Jowba incorporates the social media capabilities that the startup community expects in its tools: rss feeds, social bookmarking and sharing, structured company data, multimedia, and integrated maps. The job board is complemented by a well fleshed-out backend that features a simple but effective applicant/resume management system. Jowba was shut down and restared as Startuply, a Y Combinator company, in summer 2008.
