AHKs are closely associated in Germany with the network of German Chambers of Commerce (IHK). Together, they support CCIs and AHKs German companies in developing and expanding its economic relations with other countries. Umbrella organization of the CCI is the German Industry and Commerce (DIHK), which also coordinates the AHKs and supervised. The close collaboration with various German trade associations provides business and markets link from AHKs. AHKs are proportionately funded by the Federal Ministry of Economics and technology.
