Inner Guides connects users with qualified meditation instructors from university-based programs such as Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Mindful Self-Compassion, and Compassion Cultivation Training and from well-recognized meditation centers such as Spirit Rock Meditation Center and the Insight Meditation Society. Currently, the platform enables meditation teachers to publish a profile that includes their bio, credentials, upcoming courses/talks/retreats, testimonials and audio meditations. Once their profile is live, users can find their upcoming teachings by searching the website. Soon, instructors will be able to design hybrid, Udemy-like courses, complete with weekly video lessons, audio meditation files, live-online group discussions, handouts and Q/A forums. We will also be leveraging Apple's ResearchKit framework to collect biomarker and self-report data to better understand how these practices impact health.
