Imani Academy is a chain of low cost private nursery and primary schools that serve disadvantaged communities within Kampala. On top of providing quality education and good facilities, we employ a self sustaining education financing model with a flexible payment system; charging an all-inclusive daily fee that includes tuition, lunch, mid and end of term assessment. Most of our parents come from the informal sector where their income is unpredictable at best. These daily / weekly fees fit well with their cash flow patterns. By doing this, our clients are able to experience a higher quality of holistic education despite their Economic standing. We have also enhanced the local curriculum with an experiential, activity based model that’s in line with international best practices and enhances learning. This teaching approach is more enjoyable for the children than the traditional lecture model that’s still being practiced by other schools of similar caliber.
