illuma Care was founded from a concept within the American Optometric Association to support healthcare reform by ensuring chronic disease patients, specifically diabetics, are getting the proper routine care and utilizing optometry as the front line of care for these patients. Since then illuma Care has expanded into a national organization building specialty networks of specialty providers, radiology centers and imaging facilities to ensure large populations of patients are getting the preventative care they need. The heart of illuma’s mission is to provide white glove service to patients scheduling them directly with high quality providers, ensuring the providers have access to patients, while improving the quality scores for health plans.
