The Irish Centre for Composites Research (IComp) was established in 2010 under the EI/IDA Technology Centre initiative. It is hosted by the University of Limerick (UL) which is the leading composites research establishment in the Republic of Ireland, working in partnership with University College Dublin (UCD). Academia and industry are being brought together within IComp to focus on the critical requirements of a number of industrial sectors, for example; aerospace, renewable energy, construction and the supply chain. IComp currently has 14 industrial members from across Ireland and new members are welcome.
