Humanitarian AI is a hybrid open source initiative and meetup.com community. The initiative was launched to give students, AI developers, data scientists and others opportunities to interface with humanitarian actors and work on micro-size volunteer projects advancing humanitarian application of artificial intelligence technology. Currently the initiative has local groups in Cambridge, San Francisco, New York City, London, Toronto, Montreal, London, Paris, Berlin, Geneva, Zurich, Bangalore and Tokyo with over 1000 members. The initiative also produces the podcast series: Humanitarian AI Today
