Huaneng Renewables Corporation Limited (华能新能源) is a Chinese promoter of the co-development of wind energy and other renewable energy industries that include solar energy, ocean energy, hydrogen energy and so on. Established in November 2002, the company now has 10 wind power plants which were honored with the "China Power Quality Engineering Award and National Silver Medal of Quality Engineering." With the occupancy scale of wind power rising, 6 wind power bases were built in Northeast China, Eastern China, West Inner Mongolia, Northern China, Sinkiang, and South China. The company also built the first domestic wind testing field, the first domestic megawatt-level wind testing field, the first large-scale field binding with domestic equipment, the first wind field on the plateau, the first wind-and-solar complementary wind field, the wind field with the highest construction speed in China. Huaneng Renewables Corporation is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Huaneng Group.
