Hawaii Oceanic Technology provides technologies for aquaculture and ocean energy in the United States. It offers Oceansphere technology to domesticate seafood production in the open ocean. The company’s patented fish farming system called the Oceansphere is designed to operate in deep ocean waters, a much healthier environment for raising seafood, which promotes faster growth and lower food conversion ratios. Hawaii Oceanic Technology was founded in 2006 and is based in Honolulu, Hawaii. The company is privately funded, Delaware C corporation and its investors include Kolohala Ventures, a Hawaii “green tech” venture fund and mTerra Ventures.
