Het Gastenhuis is part of a platform for small-scale elderly care home in the Netherlands. The formulas of this platform are characterized by a limited number of residents per complex, personal attention and high-quality care and services. Research has shown that small-scale housing facilities increase the quality of life for the elderly. Het Gastenhuis focuses on people with dementia with an emphasis on personal attention and maintaining their own direction. Each Guest House is led by a resident care couple. The Guest House has opened its first location at the end of 2015. Annemieke Bambach, director of the Gastenhuis, was formerly director at De Drie Notenbomen.
