Born out of Start-up Weekend San Francisco held November 16-18, 2007, HelpHookup allows users to coordinate volunteer opportunities and interact with organizations in need of volunteers during disaster situations. The site went up as the weekend closed and a [Facebook](http://www.crunchbase.com/organization/facebook) application is in the works as well.
