Heliotrope develops next-generation electrochromic "smart" windows capable of independent control over light and heat transmission. The core technology was developed by Delia Milliron, Guillermo Garcia, and colleagues at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. It was incorporated in 2012 and is based in Alameda, California.
