Heidi Shaulis is an oil painter living in Rutherford, NJ, specializing in cats and dogs, offering commissioned pieces as well as her own original compositions. Her unique style of painting has been developed over 2 decades and is highly detailed and vibrant in color. Heidi’s deep love for animals allows her to capture them as individuals. Up to now, she has painted primarily cats, but is now adding dogs to her subject matter. In addition, more images with her tuxedo cat Charlie are being developed featuring him as an anthropomorphic (in human-like poses) character with reproductions and licensing opportunities in mind. Heidi’s work is available through her online shop which will become a full website. Her facebook fan page has over 1600 followers and is growing each day. She also participates in juried shows, as well as local events and pet shows in order to add a local clientele to her online following.
