HealthSecure EMR is developed by SpiralFX Interactive, LLC, a software development company founded in 2000. They have been working with correctional facilities since 2003 to develop software for a variety of needs, including medical, financial, reporting, data conversion and interfaces. Current customers include Henrico County Sheriff”s Office in Virginia, the Mississippi Department of Corrections and Hawaii’s Department of Public Safety. They first developed an EMR for a jail in 2008, and their customer for that product requested that they build a next-generation product to handle a much wider range of their medical needs. With their prior experience and a supportive jail customer to guide their design decisions, they began new development of HealthSecure EMR in 2011 and deployed it at a 1500-bed jail in 2012. It has been in continuous live use since then and is being actively developed and grown as a product. Their product roadmap includes many innovations that will benefit current and future customers.
