About company
Haller started over 50 years ago when Dr Rene Haller started regenerating wasteland left badly damaged from industrial activities and environmental degradation. He transformed a limestone quarry in Mombasa, Kenya into a flourishing natural paradise; which now provides 47 different income streams and eco-businesses. All of the techniques used are low cost and organic; making them widely replicable and affordable. In 2004 the Haller Foundation was set up to educate communities in rural areas in how to use these techniques. Since then, Haller has worked with around 25,000 people from 27 different communities in Kenya and transformed their lives. The process is not about quick fixes, it can take up to 5 years to go from a survival existence to becoming self sufficient.
