Hackidemia is a mobile invention lab that designs workshops and kits to enable children to access and create a hands-on STEAM education facilitating them to solve specific challenges by developing and testing creative solutions and physical artifacts. The HacKIDemia project was born at Singularity University last summer where they participated in the Global Grand Challenges program held at the NASA Ames Research park. In this program 80 students from 36 countries they are selected in order to create projects that could solve grand challenges that humanity is facing today: poverty, access to food, access to clean water, access to health care, access to education, access to energy, protection of environment, and access to security. HacKIDemia was founded in 2012 is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.
