Guangzhou Automobile Group Co., Ltd. (GAC), founded in June 28, 2005, is a large state-controlled joint-stock company headquartered in CBD of Guangzhou with more than 77,000 staff. GAC is the first state-owned automobile group in China listed in both Hong Kong and Shanghai Stock Exchanges. Its predecessor, Guangzhou Automobile Group Ltd., was founded in June 1997.
