Grand Challenges is a non-profit organization that is focused on fostering innovation to solve key global health and development problems. It focuses on 16 major global health challenges with the aim of engaging creative minds across scientific disciplines. It offers grand challenges for global health, development, explorations, and for countries. Grand Challenges was modeled after the grand challenges formulated more than 100 years ago by mathematician David Hilbert. It is in strategic partnership with Grand Challenges Canada, USAID, and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation.
