GPX Medical AB develops medical technology for diagnostics of medical complications in air-filled areas of the body, such as the lungs, sinuses and the intestines. Formed in 2016 as a subsidiary to GASPOROX AB (publ), with the aim to develop and commercialize medical applications of GASMAS technology. The technology is based on gas in scattering media absorption spectroscopy (GASMAS), developed by scientists at the division of Atomic Physics, Lund University. This method allows non-invasive measurement of gases such as oxygen and water vapour inside body cavities, including the lungs and sinuses. The method uses weak diode laser light and is not harmful to the body. The company is located in Lund, Sweden.
