Gourley Veterinary Surgeons is operates as a veterinary services provider. It is initially established in 1953 on Oldham Road, Ashton-under-Lyne by James Gourley who was then in partnership with another veterinary surgeon. James then progressed to create his own custom built surgery on Wellington Road in 1974. In 1990 James retired from veterinary practice and his son Michael, who qualified as a veterinary surgeon in 1977, took over as principal of the family business. In February 2010, Michael also retired from practicing veterinary medicine.
