Global IP was established with the aim of building a state-of-the-art IP network, based on Their first high capacity satellite, GiSAT-1, dedicated to the Sub-Saharan region. Enabling affordable broadband access – a key driver to economic growth – to over 800 million people in 39 countries in the region, Their network is built around Their 150 Gbps Ka satellite, which is larger than all other Ka satellites located over Africa, combined.
