About company

GoodMap was founded in 2012 by Paul Sorenson, MSW, in response to the frustrating and time-consuming process of identifying and sharing quality resources and referral information with his clients. If a family wanted to connect to an enriching summer program for their struggling 5th grader, it sparked a long process of phone calls, emails, and web searches to find a good fit. Printed directories and resource lists were frequently outdated and fellow case managers' extensive knowledge of services was stored in their memories and private files instead of being easily shared with colleagues.
