A postpartum doula helps provide a more gentle transition into motherhood by providing non-judgmental care to the entire family in the weeks after birth of a new baby or babies. Doulas help the family gain confidence in their new roles by providing emotional care to mothers, helping them process their birth experience, and giving companionship during a long, tiring day with a newborn.
