Gulu is a real-time chatting and event planning tool to help people hang out and have fun. When gulu users want to hangout right now, they can broadcast on gulu to their friends on what they want to do right now. Then friends with similar interest will be grouped together by our algorithm into a chat room, and at which time, friends can coordinate something together. When users want to plan something more formal, they can create a virtual private event chat room that works across web browsers, iphone/android application and email. Event creator can then invite non-registered users to this private room, and these non-registered guests can start chatting as themselves without ever signing up or logging in. Users can also challenge their friends to a mission. Can you eat a 50 lbs steak? Dare to try a thousand year egg? How about devouring a live squid? Gulu users can send their friend on a mission and invite others to witness the task, chat about the challenge, and grade the performance.
