Genetics of Memphis is a full service clinical cytogenetics reference laboratory located in the heart of Memphis, Tennessee. The laboratory is licensed by CLIA, the State of Tennessee and is certified by College of American Pathologists (CAP). The laboratory is owned and directed by Sugandhi A. Tharapel, who is a board certified cytogeneticist with more than 25 years of experience with a strong background in Cancer Cytogenetics. Genetics of Memphis (GoM) was established in 2002 with the primary focus to provide high quality testing with the shortest turnaround time possible.
