Gas Plus Vending is a privately owned company with a system that allows gas station owners to capture incremental revenue from a large under serviced customer base by bringing convenience items to the consumer. Its system is composed of an intuitive touch screen with an embedded card reader attached to the face of the gas pump or mounted adjacent to it. Gas Plus Vending’s system allows the consumers to select and pay for a cold beverage while fueling their vehicle. The convenience item is then dispensed at a vending machine that is conveniently located on the fuel island itself. Consumers are drawn to the convenience of being able to make a purchase without leaving the fueling area.
