FutureAcoustic was a London-based startup that developed a new platform for music that listens and reacts to the user’s environment. The company was set up in 2006 by Andreas Raptopoulos and the Royal College of Art, and operated until 2010. It developed algorithms and devices for turning noise into music and for creating next generation Walkman™ experiences. It licensed its technology to Herman Miller, Inc. and Sony.
