The F# Software Foundation aims is to promote, protect, and advance the F# programming language, and to support and facilitate the growth of a diverse and international community of F# programmers. It is focused on the F# compiler, F# language specification, the F# core library, and assorted tools and applications. The foundation maintains a core open-source F# code repository and makes the distributions available to the public free of charge for use across multiple platforms. It solicits and manages contributions to the open source F# codebase, and may performs its services on behalf of other open-source F#-related codebases. It works to facilitate the ongoing development of F#-related technology and educational resources, including contributing to F# conferences. The F# Software Foundation was founded in 2012 and is based in Henderson, Nevada.
