Frontiers in Zoology is an open access, peer-reviewed online journal that publishes research articles and reviews on zoological issues. It aims to represent and re-unite the various disciplines that look at animal life from different perspectives and provide the basis for understanding of zoological phenomena on all levels of analysis. The journal includes research articles, book reviews, commentaries, debate articles, hypotheses, methodology articles, and short reports. Frontiers in Zoology was initiated and is supported by the Deutsche Zoologische Gesellschaft, a national zoological society. Its operations are based in London, United Kingdom.
