Formabilio is a Web platform able to connect Made in Italy craftsmanship and innovative ideas from young designers. The startup Formabilio was born from an idea of Andrea Carbone and Maria Grazia Andali with the ambition to make Participatory design and Made in Italy a brand to export worldwide, It promotes through the internet design contest conceived for aspiring and professional designers, these are called to design furniture and furnishing that will be produced by small Italian manufacturing companies and sold online on formabilio.com web platform. Formabilio has a business eye and ethical mind, It was founded on the concept of crowdsourcing, It shares the results of his venture with all persons involved on the project: from the designer to the manufacturing companies. Nowadays Formabilio’s community has 65 thousand registered users, among whom 1100 are designers for a total of 1500 submitted projects.
