You thought riding a bike in Amsterdam would be all fun and games. That was before it broke down. Bike shops are far away, they're closed outside office hours, and charge as if they're fixing your car. They know how frustrating it is to find a flat tire or a broken chain and not have the time to go and repair it somewhere. Plus, broken bikes are not meant to be moved around.
