FATpick is a desktop and mobile application that "gamifies" the process of learning to play guitar or bass. Users play familiar songs on real instruments as an interactive tablature viewer and proprietary pitch-detection algorithm provides real-time feedback on their performance. Personal stats, badges, leaderboards and peer-challenges measure, motivate, monitor and inform regular and effective practice sessions that help users improve quickly and steadily while avoiding boredom or burnout.
