The Ethnic Brand is a virtual factory connects marginalized artisans living in slums across sub-saharan Africa to the global fashion brands . Using mobile phones and a USSD platform, artisans are able receive work from fashion brands and they work remotely to fulfill orders. Ethnic's goal is to offer manufacturing as a service and completely mitigate the need for building physical factories for the fashion industry which happen to be the biggest sources of environmental pollution.
