The Parent Company is a leading content, commerce, and new media company in the pregnancy, baby, and toddler marketplace. Parent Co. filed for bankruptcy protection in December 2008. Toys R Us acquired EToys.com from Parent Co. in February 2009. The deal included websites BabyUniverse.com, an e-commerce site, and EPregnancy.com, a parenting-resource website.
