Nomad offers cloud-based API that adds full retail scale computer vision to any e-commerce app or retail store. Through its cloud-based API, all a retailer has to do is upload their product catalog and install its API. Uploading can be done by connecting Nomad to their database or upload products to the Nomad site. Recognition is based on detectors that represent subcategories like women's, sports, shoes. One detector can hold 9,000 products while retaining accuracy. These scalable detectors, give any store the ability to integrate computer vision that is powerful enough to describe items, recommend similar products, or identify an exact match. Unlike other computer vision APIs, Nomad does not require thousands of images to train. Instead, it uses machine learning to train from just a few product images.
