About company

Entry 29 is a membership-based organisation. Rory Ford moved to Canberra from Sydney in June 2012. Meeting with members of the Canberra innovation scene, he asked “where is the local coworking space?” “There isn’t one.” A group of allies and volunteers formed to address this. The designs for the city of Canberra was sourced through an international competition. Walter Burley Griffin’s winning design was the 29th entry. We’re named Entry 29 to acknowledge Canberra’s history and the vision for our coworking space in its future. Entry 29 was officially opened by ACT Deputy Chief Minister Andrew Barr on 25 May 2013. It is governed by an elected Board of Directors. Its day-to-day operations are managed by the Community Manager.
