Founded in 2009, Maryland Energy and Sensor Technologies, LLC. (MEST) focuses on developing functional materials and system integration for energy applications. MEST has an exclusive licensing agreement with the University of Maryland on the thermoelastic cooling technology. Previously, a 1 kW thermoelastic cooler has been demonstrated.
