ETP is an autonomous alliance of 13 independent Scottish HEIs providing world-class capability and resources in energy RD&D, supported and co-funded by the Scottish Funding Council. ETP’s vision is to build on the existing areas of excellence and collaborative working to ensure that Scotland remains, into the future, a world-renowned source for energy related RD&D and its commercialisation in the energy sector. It creates value for the Scottish economy by acting as a broker between academia and external organisations and industry, promoting and disseminating ETP’s mission to translate excellent research into economic impact – as evidenced in the ETP Knowledge Exchange Network. Through the Energy Industry Doctorate Programme, ETP supports the energy sector with the skills it needs to maximise industrial growth opportunities. ETP’s network of Business Development Managers can share the emergent best practice between academia and industry and help Scottish SMEs identify the best possible support available.
