Emergent's product suite is based on advanced research and development conducted at Columbia University and successfully tested in the US Department of Transportation's recently sponsored NG9-1-1 proof of concept. The system was the basis for the 2008 U.S. Department of Transportation (USDOT) Proof of Concept (POC) in cooperation with Booze Allen Hamilton (BAH) and the National Emergency Number Association (NENA). The critical routing logic, PSAP software for conferencing, call recording and logging, PSAP user interface and a VoIP client with caller location capabilities was developed and supplied by Columbia.
