EEBus is a global initiative in the area of the Internet of Things that makes technology independent interoperability possible through cross-domain standardization. It was originated in a research program funded by the German government. EEBus is a global initiative, which brings the stakeholders of the energy, telecommunications, and electronics industries together. EEBus opens up the new market of smart connectivity for the sectors of smart energy, smart home and building, connected devices, and connected car. Its international strength is based on global partnerships with the associations in Europe, Asia, and the U.S.A. Due to this it jointly establishes worldwide acceptance and international standards for a global market.
