DARE Technology is an innovative Irish engineering company, established to develop and commercialize renewable energy technology. DARE Technology's first product is a unique crane mounted wind turbine for ships (the "Hi-GEN") which aims to displace the use of diesel generators during vessel downtime. The use of the existing crane allows for the much larger turbines to be deployed (from 5kW to 20kW) which makes it a viable alternative to power the vessel during downtime, allowing for greater fuel savings and emission reductions. The 5kW prototype has been developed and tested and we are now scaling our design to a 15kW model.
