ClearSight Innovations Ltd was formed in early 2013 as a spin out from NDRC. It is based in both Dublin and Zurich. The company is developing new technologies that allow accurate measurement of the eye with the ability to move cataract surgery outcomes to a new level. Cataract surgery is the most commonly performed surgery in the world with over 20 million surgeries conducted annually.​
